Leki (real name - Karoline ‘Leki’ Kamosi) is a Congolese and Belgian R&B artist now living in Belgium.
At 12, she performed background vocals for Technotronic as her first record studio work. She signed her first record deal at the age of 16. While completing a law degree at the University of Antwerp,
she was hired by TMF Flanders to host the R&B and hip-hop show Cool Sweat. She also host a radio show called Juice on the public radio Studio Brussel.
Her first single, 'Breakin' Out', reached the top 10 in Belgium, while failing to crack the top 50 in France. Her second single, 'Crazy', from her self-titled album 'Leki', reached the top 30 in Belgium. Her nickname Leki, is the lingala word lɛ́ki, meaning the “younger sibling”.
Leki released her debut album, Breaking Out and was nominated for two TMF Awards in 2004. Warrior Girl, her second album was released in 2005. That same year she was nominated for Best Urban TMF Award. Leki is currently working on her third album, and has also released another single, 'Sitting In My Car', featuring M.I.S.T.A and Babybang.
