Samantha Ronson is a Dj and rock singer.
Her stepfather is musician Mick Jones of the rock band Foreigner and her mother is Ann Dexter-Jones. Her twin sister is fashion designer Charlotte Ronson and older brother is Dj and producer Mark Ronson.
Ronson was formerly signed to hip hop record label Roc-A-Fella Records and she released four songs: "Pull My Hair Out", "Fool", "If It's Gonna Rain" and "Built This Way", which was featured in the movie “Mean Girls” starring Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams.
In 2004, Ronson wrote and recorded her first album "RED", which was never released, though song downloads were made available from her MySpace page. Ronson also made a number of appearances on mix tapes produced by artists signed to the Roc-A-Fella label. After leaving Roc-A-Fella, Ronson moved to Los Angeles and continued playing shows, DJ'ing, as well as writing and recording music.
She is also a co-owner of the New York City nightclub The Plumm, along with actor Chris Noth, David Wells and Noel Ashman, among others.
